Mubarak Al Dowailah, a former Kuwaiti MP, revealed that the General Assembly of the Islamic Constitutional Movement "Hadas”, also known as the Muslim Brotherhood in Kuwait, will hold a board meeting in the first week of August to elect a new leader of the movement succeeding Dr. Badr Al-Nashi. Dr. Badr Al Nashi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Movement, had submitted his resignation immediately after the announcement of the results of the recent Kuwaiti parliamentary elections. The political bureau also submitted their resignation “So as to assess the up-coming period by a neutral committee" especially, after the number of the movement’s lawmakers in the Kuwaiti National Assembly decreased to one after they were originally three indicating a sharp reduction where they were formerly six in the parliament which was formed in the2006 elections. |
