Fawzi Barhoum, a spokesman for Hamas, has said that Egyptian stands regarding the political detention and formation of a joint committee to run the West Bank and the Gaza Strip were very close to those of Hamas.

He told Maan news agency on Saturday that his Movement offered all that was asked of her to the Egyptian security delegation in a bid to ensure success of Egyptian efforts.

Hamas tabled its views toward all issues, the spokesman said, calling on Fatah to support the Egyptian effort.

Barhoum emphasized that success of the Egyptian security delegation"s tour was hinged on Fatah"s positions.

He said that Hamas asked Egypt to exert all efforts possible to close the political detention file before the forthcoming round of national dialog on 25th of July.
