Russia asks for expediting an end to the Gaza siege
Quds Press news agency said on Saturday that Sultanov, during a meeting with Karin Abu Zaid the UNRWA commissioner general in Moscow, mentioned his country’s efforts to unite the Palestine line and to break the stalemate in the Middle East peace process.

Alexander Sultanov, the special Russian presidential envoy to the Middle East, has called for expediting an end to the Israeli siege on Gaza and for solving the problem of Palestinian refugees.

Quds Press news agency said on Saturday that Sultanov, during a meeting with Karin Abu Zaid the UNRWA commissioner general in Moscow, mentioned his country"s efforts to unite the Palestine line and to break the stalemate in the Middle East peace process.

For her part, Abu Zaid focused on the Palestinian refugees" legitimate rights as one of the prerequisites for a just and comprehensive solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict.

She pointed to the importance of holding the international conference on peace in the Middle East in Moscow for the sake of reaching peace in the region.
