A 45-year-old Palestinian was pronounced dead in northern Gaza after failure to travel outside the Gaza Strip to seek treatment for his chronic disease.

Medical sources said that Jihad Al-Habash, 45, was declared dead on Thursday bringing the number of siege victims over the past three years to 392 persons many of them women and children.

Habash, the father of three children, tried in vain to travel via the Rafah crossing to undergo a badly needed surgery.

Meanwhile, the Qatari delegation led by Sheikha Hussa Bint Khalifa, the UN rapporteur on disability, left the Strip via Rafah crossing on Friday after touring devastated areas and inaugurating a number of vital projects in the besieged Strip.
