Security Forces Arrest Bloggers, 39 April 6th Activists

Last night, security forces arrested Egyptian bloggers Abdurrahman Faris from Fayyoum and Islam Nagy from Port Said while they were posting flyers publicizing the April 6th strike.

Yesterday, security forces also arrested 37 Kefaya and April 6th activists in Kafr El-Sheikh for their demonstration calling for the release of students Sara Rizk and Omniyya Taha who are under detention for 15 days on charges of distributing publications that call for hampering the state’s interests, public harm, and disturbing order.

In a similar context, security forces in Alexandria arrested activists, the exact number of which hasn’t been confirmed yet, on the streets after security threat warnings of arresting anyone who tries to participate in the strike tomorrow, Monday, April 6.
