MB MP Considers AUC-Pentagon Contract a Threat to Egyptian National Security

Member of the MB Parliamentary Bloc MP Dr. Farid Ismail requested details from the Council of Ministers Head and Ministers of Higher Education, Interior, and Foreign Affairs regarding the contract between the American University and Cairo (AUC) and the Pentagon for providing the American Ministry of Defense confidential and detailed information about Egypt posing a serious threat to national Egyptian security.

Ismail said that deep American penetration in Egypt especially in critical places such as universities, research centers, and medical labs such as Namru, their receiving of important data, their taking advantage of financial aids granted to achieve their targets, and their control over many suspicious societies are all matters that arouse great concern.

“Is the government aware of the danger of what’s happening and does it have the ability to confront this penetration and spying on Egypt’s national security?,” Ismail questioned pointing out that the Pentagon’s military contract had been entrusted to AUC as a direct order stipulating that research be conducted in Egypt as the place for execution!!

Ismail called on the PM and Ministers to respond to the people’s questions about the role being played by the American investigations and AUC and whether they are being subjected to Egyptian law and guidelines, or are above Egyptian law, security, and sovereignty?
