The Hamas-affiliated change and reform parliamentary bloc has regretted the Egyptian authority"s refusal to allow entry of a Jordanian parliamentary delegation into the Gaza Strip via the Rafah border terminal.

The bloc in a statement on Sunday said that it was surprised with the Egyptian step that denied the access into Gaza of the 15-member delegation after it had allowed a series of foreign delegations to enter the Strip to express solidarity with the Palestinian people.

It asked Cairo to shoulder its responsibility in boosting the Palestinian people"s steadfastness and allow solidarity delegations to enter the Strip to get acquainted with the bulk of the devastation inflicted by the Israeli occupation forces" war on Gaza and to support the Palestinian people.

The bloc asked Arab and non-Arab parliamentary delegations to continue heading to Gaza.

Meanwhile, MP Jamal Al-Khudari, the head of the popular anti siege committee in Gaza, on Sunday evening welcomed the visit of Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the secretary general of the organization of Islamic conference, to Gaza to inspect the destruction caused by the IOF three-week war.

He said in a statement that the step was an important one in the effort to break the siege on Gaza and reconstruct what the IOF war machine had destroyed.
