Lawyers have organised a protest on Sunday 22nd February after they were stopped by the security from reaching the parliament, where they were going to protest against the law on Legal Fees, which was supposed to be discussed yesterday in the parliament.

Lawyers demonstrated in front of the Council of Ministers and they called for the abolishment of this bill and to respect the lawyers’ will.

Three Mps came out to the lawyers to deliver their message, despite the refusal of Fathy Sorur (President of the Council) to meet with the MB lawyers’ delegation to discuss this bill. the three Mps were Akram Elshaer, Saad Aboud and Mostafa Bakry.

Following the end of the protest, the lawyers decided to organise a march to start from the Council of Ministers to the Bar Association to strike there, however security prevented the movement of the march and as a response to this prevention they organised another two demonstrations, one in front of the Egyptian Museum and the other in Kasr Aleni Street.

Mohammed Tosson (the Media Spokesman of the MB), in an exclusive statement to Ikhwanweb, has described the prevention of the demonstration by security forces despite its pacific nature, accusing the regime of being a “bully”!

Tosson stressed that lawyers would protest inside the Bar Association until their demands are met, confirming the participation of MB Mps in solidarity strike with the lawyers next Tuesday.
