Arab parties warn of Aqsa diggings, ask leaders to reconsider relations with USA

Pan-Arab and Islamic parties in the Arab world have issued a joint statement on Wednesday warning of the Israeli excavations under and in the vicinity of the holy Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

The Pan-Arab conference, the general conference for Arab parties and the Arab-Islamic conference expressed disappointment at the absence of any tangible step to check the endless Israeli diggings. It also called for practical steps to restrain those diggings and to reconstruct what was damaged as a result of those excavations.

It asked the Arab and Islamic leaders to reconsider relations with the USA for its unlimited support for Israel, adding, “It is not reasonable to continue maintaining excellent relations with those who extend unlimited support for the Zionist entity”.

The statement also called for the immediate and unconditional opening of all Gaza Strip crossings and ending the siege to allow the free flow of all forms of assistance to the beleaguered Strip.
