Egyptian authorities" decision of closing Rafah Crossing is "stunning and astonishing for the Muslim Brotherhood, Egyptian, Arab and Muslim peoples and for the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip", said a Muslim Brotherhood leader in statements to Ikhwanweb.

Dr. Mohamed Al Sayed Habib, the first deputy chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood described Egyptian authorities" decision of closing Rafah Crossing as "stunning and astonishing for the Muslim Brotherhood, Egyptian, Arab and Muslim peoples and for the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip"

"What is required is a nonstop work for lifting the blockade and opening crossings, specially Rafah Crossing- Gaza residents" only outlet to the outer world", said Dr. Habib noting aggressions are still committed against civilians in Gaza Strip.

Dr. Habib saw that opening Rafah Crossing and ending the blockade are top priorities and warned against exploiting opening the crossing and lifting blockade to impose conditions on Hamas movement in a bid to illegalize resistance.

It is worth noting that Egyptian authorities declared on Thursday Feb, 5th, 2005, that Gaza-Egypt Rafah Crossing will be closed while the humanitarian crisis is aggravated after a 1 1/2 year blockade capped by a Zionist aggression that left hundreds of civilians women and children killed and injured.
