Muslim Brotherhood parliamentary bloc decided to execute the decision passed by the Human Rights Committee of the People’s Assembly granting MPs permanent license to monitor Police headquarters across the country after a suggestion by Muslim Brotherhood MP Hussein Ibrahim, MB MP and member of the Human Rights Committee in the PA Mahmoud Amer told Ikhwanweb.

The MB MPs decided to launch their visits at Alexandria and Giza governorates as a first step towards monitoring torture inside the police stations.

“MB MPs were the initiators of this idea since 2000 parliament, during which they managed to visit prisons and now they can visit police stations too,” he added.
