Chancellor Farouq Sultan (head of South Cairo Court), confirmed in a meeting with a delegation of Islamic Law Committee on Wednesday October 29, his intention to set a date for the elections of Lawyers Syndicate, on the condition that the judicial committee supervising on Lawyers Syndicate will send a letter to the Lawyers" General Meeting to set a date for elections, which was confirmed by Gamal Taj Addin (a member of Law Committee) in a interview to ikhwanweb, stressing that if the head of South Cairo Court will do that, then he has fulfilled his responsibility.

  
Taj Addin revealed that the Committee"s delegation also went to Chancellor Rifaat Al Sayed (head of the Judicial Committee in charge of supervising Lawyers Syndicate) where a meeting was held to set a date for the Lawyers General Meeting to set a date for the elections, where Chancellor Rifaat Al Sayed made doubt that head of South Cairo Court will send a letter to the Lawyers General Meeting to set a date for elections, saying: "I will not do any thing only after examining the objective part of the lawsuit which could take many years, so the syndicate has already been threatened of being submitted to the custody for a long time."

Gamal Taj Addin confirmed that the government is able to protect the syndicate from imposing custody on it, and he expected that the custody on the syndicate will continue to the year of 2011 till after elections in 2010.
