Dr. Mohamed Morsi (Member of the MB Executive Bureau) criticized in an interview to ikhwanweb, the arrest of the former MP Dr. Sayed Adul Hamid after detaining him over than 45 days in Wadi Al Natroun prison, where a detention warrant was issued for him today October 16, by the interior minister.

Morsi condemned the detention warrant as it was contrary to the decision of the Criminal Court, which upheld the release warrant, and he pointed out to the poor health status which Adul Hamid experienced, as he is suffering from bleeding as a result of his injury of hemorrhoids, and he needs to performing an emergency surgery, but until now he is left to bleed inside the prison.

Morsi revealed that Dr. Sayed Adul Hamid is one of the most prominent deputies, and he wondered whether Adul Hamid was left to bleed because of his inspection of Tora prison after the killing of Akram Al Zuheiry by the police in 2004, where a delegation from the People"s Assembly went to inspect prisons. Morsi wondered whether Adul Hamid is punished for this visit, and denounced the absence of the Egyptian parliament and its president, to a former MP who is supposed to have immunity and have a place in society.

He also denounced that a former MP was ill-treated and abused, and denounced the absence of human rights and civil society organizations to the violations which the former MP was exposed to, Morsi accused the Interior Ministry of threatening the security of the country because of the torture series which honorable people and symbols of the country are exposed to.

Dr. Sayed, a long with a group of his guests, was arrested from his home on August 27, and then he was presented to Zagazig prosecution which charged him of joining the Muslim Brotherhood, and ordered to put him in custody for four days, and after this period he was presented to the prosecution once again which ordered to detain him for 15 days, till he was released on October 13.

Dr. Sayed was referred from Wadi Al Natroun prison to Zagazig, and when he arrived, other prisoners who were with him were released while he was returned to the prison, on the grounds that he was in need of surgery, and as soon as he arrived to Cairo, he has not been presented to the hospital, but he was sent to prison, till now.
