Press Conference to Announce Legal Procedures in Jazeera School’s Parent Case

Bar Syndicate in Alexandria in coalition with the Muslim Brotherhood Parliamentary Bloc and the defense of Hamada Abdul Lateef are going to hold a press conference on Sunday, October 05, to state legal and parliamentary procedures to be taken in the case of Hamada Abdul Lateef who was assaulted by police, against the Commissioner Deputy of Mina al Basal district officer Assayed Mohamed Assayed.


 


Abdul Lateef’s lawyer Khalaf Bayoumi said to ikhwanweb that the defense aims to clarify the legal procedures regarding the assault charges. He added that they are to be presented to the prosecutors to hear witnesses’ testimony.


 


Bayoumi expected Human Rights Organizations will hold a meeting in Alexandria next Thursday to monitor the case.


 


Abdul Lateef (one of al Jazeera School parents) was assaulted by police officers and suffered fracture of his neck and lower back which caused him to be paralyzed from the neck down, when he tried to bring his daughter to school along with many parents who were complying with court order to end the school closure.  Abul Lateef was assualted in front of his children and wife who can be heard screaming for help in a video clip circulating on the internet.
