Egypt Police Detains 19 Muslim Brothers From Nile Delta

State Security Prosecution decided on Wednesday September 19 to hold 19 of Brotherhood members in the Nile Delta governorate of Menoufiya who were arrested on Wednesday at dawn for 15 days, and they were referred to Shebin Al-Koum prison.


 


It is believed that these arrests come to settle old accounts of the effects of last municipal elections. The detainees are : Fathi Al-Serwey “Director Department of Medical Syndicate in Menoufiya (Meet Khacan) “, Hamdi Mujahid “director of Meet Khacan School” , Ali Sweelam “instructor in Education Ministry (Meet Khacan)”, Wajih Zenati “a school agent (Meet Khacan)” ,Osama Younis  “a merchaint  (Meet Khacan)”, Ashraf Wahdan “Officer (Shebin Al-Koum)”, Ashraf Khalifa “secondary first teacher (Shebin Al-Koum)”, Mohamed Abdul Kareem “secondary teacher (Shebin Al-Koum)” and Ahmed Jaber Suleiman “English teacher”.


 

Egyptian security authorities have launched a wide detention campaign which affected many of Muslim Brotherhood leaders and young members, this included the storming of an apartment in the
Nile Delta city of Zagazig on Tuesday by security forces for arresting a number of Muslim Brotherhood students who were having the Ramadan breakfast with Dr. Ehab Mahmoud, assistant professor at their University (Zagazig University) who was previously arrested in the event of the Shura Council elections.
