Muslim Brotherhood Secretary General Dr. Mahmoud Ezzat denied that Dr. Sayed Abdel Sattar El Meligi is a leader or spokesperson of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Ezzat said in a statement to Ikhwanweb, “would like to pay the attention of news sources that official Muslim Brotherhood statements are only those which are released by one of  the Muslim Brotherhood leaders, and Mr. Abdel Sattar El Meligi is not one of them.”

Numerous reports have repeatedly quoted Mr. Abdel Sattar El Meligi as an official source of Muslim Brotherhood statements on several issues and took his personal opinions as the official opinion of the Muslim Brotherhood.
