RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- IOF troops on Wednesday kidnapped Jamal Omaira, the father of the girl who filmed an IOF soldier while shooting at a handcuffed, blindfolded Palestinian detainee in Na"lin village west of Ramallah city a few days ago.

The soldier said that he was following orders of his commander who ordered him to shoot at the helpless detainee.

In the meantime, large numbers of IOF troops stormed the city of Tulkarem and Qufin village searching for Islamic Jihad activist Fadi Kittana, who survived an assassination attempt on Tuesday night.

The soldiers detained Ahmed Abu Abed from the same village after wreaking havoc in his home and other stormed homes in the village.

In Qalqilia, a commercial strike was observed on Wednesday at the call of the national committee to break the Israeli siege. The committee said that the city has been under Israeli siege for a year amidst absolute disregard on the part of the unconstitutional government of Salam Fayyad.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation authority intensified security presence in Jerusalem and its vicinity following the bulldozer attack by a Palestinian driver on Tuesday that wounded 19 people and ended with shooting down the driver.

The incident was followed by an assault by members of a Jewish religious institute on two Palestinians in Jerusalem that nearly killed them.

In another development, an Israeli officer who was critically shot by an attacker in occupied Jerusalem almost ten days ago was proclaimed dead today.

The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas Movement, on Wednesday issued a statement in Gaza describing  attacks in occupied Jerusalem as a natural response to Israeli occupation"s daily crimes in the West Bank.

The armed wing underlined that no power in the world could stand in the way of a people fighting for liberation.
