The Islamic Constitutional Movement, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in Kuwait, has won three seats in Kuwait’s legislative elections according to the results declared today.

Kuwait’s Parliament now consists of 18 members of the Sunni Islamists, 3 of the Islamic Constitutional Movement, five of the Shia, three of the National Democratic Alliance, and four of the Salafi Alliance.

D’eig Al-Shamry, member of the Islamic Constitutional Movement who was a candidate in today’s elections, stated one day before declaring the elections results that the Islamists in Kuwait are the most moderated and balanced trends, adding that they are the most balanced citizens who seek the progress and stability of Kuwait.

Noteworthy, Kuwait’s Parliament was earlier dissolved by the ruler, Sheikh Subah Al-Ahmed Al-Subah, in March after a series of crisis and standoff between the government and members of the Parliament.
