Health ministry demands fuel for ambulance vehicles

The health ministry in the PA caretaker government has asked for fuel to be able to move its ambulance vehicles to carry the wounded whose lives are at risk in the event they were late to hospitals.

The ministry in a statement on Tuesday said that horse driven carts were used to carry the casualties in Monday”s massacre in Beit Hanun to hospitals after ambulances came to a complete standstill due to the lack of petrol.

The scene reflected the seriousness of the situation in the Gaza Strip on the lives of citizens in Gaza Strip as a result of the “suffocating Zionist siege”, it added.

The ministry condemned the Israeli occupation forces” bloodbath that claimed the lives of a mother and four of her children including a one-year-old baby, and lashed out at the world silence vis-à-vis “this slaughter of children”.

It called for immediate world intervention to save the Palestinian women and children from death at the hands of the “Zionist war machine”.

The ministry asked WHO, human rights groups and international organizations along with all freedom loving and honorable people in the world to speak out against such crimes, describing silence in this situation as a shame on humanity in the supposed era of civilization.
