Jamal Taj al-Din, lawyer of Muslim Brotherhood Professor Abdul-Haii al-Faramawi, has refuted the allegations of Al-Ahram daily newspaper and described them as "lies aiming at defaming the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas and distracting people from the unjust military rulings passed against MB members.”

Taj condemned Egyptian national press reports and said he wishes they would stop reporting fake news relating to the MB and respect scholars like professor Abdulhai Al-Faramawi dimissing his arrest as "inconvenient".

Faramawi is deputy chairman of the Facutly of Religious Fundamentals at Al Azhar University.

Al-Ahram national newspaper has published a report claiming that Faramawi heads a terrorist cell trying to help Hamas buy drones capable of carrying explosives that can be remotely exploded.

The lawyers refuted those allegations asserting that such a case aims at fabricating new charges for the MB.

the security forces broke into Faramawi’s house three times searching for his son, however they decided to arrest the professor when they did not find his son.
