The Hamas Movement warned Thursday that the continuing disregard for the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza on the part of the Arab countries and the international community has serious repercussions and the world has to assume its responsibility towards what will happen as a result of this disregard.

In a press statement received by the PIC, Fawzi Barhoum, a Hamas spokesman, underlined that the Arabs" successive failures in taking brave decisions to end the siege on Gaza are the result of the American pressures exercised on them.

"We warn of continuing to exercise this unjust policy against our people and the results of this serious pressure on a million and a half million Palestinians in Gaza should be read by all; it is unreasonable that the world keeps watching our people being slaughtered and dying this way," Barhoum said.

The spokesman called on international and regional human rights organizations to send their delegations to Gaza to familiarize them with the reality of this tragic situation.

The spokesman appealed to Egypt to allow international humanitarian delegations and sympathizers into Gaza in order support its besieged people and alleviate part of their suffering.
