A senior level delegation of the Hamas Movement led by Khaled Mishaal, chairman of the Movement"s political bureau, on Wednesday heads to Cairo for crucial talks on Gaza siege and crossings.

In a press release on Tuesday, Hamas said that the delegation grouping leaders from within and outside the occupied homeland, would discuss with Egyptian officials the "oppressive siege on Gaza Strip, the Rafah terminal and means of resolving the Palestinian political discord and achieving Palestinian national unity".

The statement pointed out that the delegation"s visit to Cairo follows conclusion of an official visit to Saudi Arabia.

Hamas"s visit to Riyadh followed an official invitation of Saudi foreign minister prince Saud Al-Faisal to discuss Saudi efforts to patch up Palestinian differences and means of ending Gaza siege.

Well informed Hamas sources in Gaza said that Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahhar, one of the Movement"s eminent figures, would lead the delegation from Gaza that would also include former PA interior minister Sa"eed Siyam, economy minister in the current PA caretaker government Ziad Al-Zaza and Jamal Abu Hashem.
