MB Chairman: Aggression on Gaza Women March ’a Criminal Act’

Mohamed Mahdi Akef, the chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in Egypt denounced Egyptian security assaults against a march staged by Palestinian women as a “criminal act”. The Gaza women staged on Monday a thousand-member march in protest at the hideous blockade imposed by Israeli Occupation Forces Gaza Strip denying them food, water fuel and even electricity after the main power station Gaza stopped working after running out of fuel due to the blockade. Egyptian security forces have also dispersed all marches staged all over Egypt preventing Egyptians from even showing their sympathy with the Palestinians under siege.

“Egyptians feel pain for what Gaza faces”, said Mohamed Mahid Akef in a statement to the Gaza based Al-Aqsa satellite channel, adding that the Muslim Brotherhood will continuously work till this hideous siege is lifted on Gaza.
“I call on all kings, Emirs and presidents to wake up and realize the massacres committed against the Palestinians in Gaza while Zionists and Americans are besieging them”.

Akef stressed that the Muslim Brotherhood will continuously back the Palestinian cause, denouncing all repressive methods committed by the Egyptian security services considering them as divorced from any region, law or ethics.
He also stressed that the Muslim Brotherhood will never surrender and will always work so that the word of right triumphs in Palestine and all Muslim and Arab nations adhere to tenets of their religion.
