Media Official Of Ussim’s MB Candidate Arrested

Egyptian security forces continue its repressive attacks against the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group and MB candidates running for the Shura Council elections. The State Security Police forces raided on Thursday at May, 31, 2007, at 01.30AM CLT the house of Dr. Ali Battikh, the media spokesman of the two MB Shura candidates in Giza.
 
Battikh was arrested along with:
 
Dr. Mostafa Hegazi, a Muslim Brotherhood leader in the governorate
Farag Abdul Aziz Abul Hadid-Menshiyat Radwan, (election campaigning official)
Nassar Amin Mahmoud – Al Barajil, (election campaigning official)
Farag Mondi – Al-Kawm Al-Ahmar, (election campaigning official)
Gamal Ali Ismail – Al-Kawm Al-Ahmar, (election campaigning official).
 
The security services try to impose a state of terror amon residents of the two Giza constituencies in which MB candidates are running: the constituency of Ussim and Imababa whose MB candidate is Al-Sayyed Saleh and the consitiuency of Al-Hawamdiya and Bdrasheen whose MB candidate is Mohamed Al Feqi. State security forces are patrolling these two constituencies around the clock to intimidate people.
