MB Military Tribunal Adjourned till Oct, 3rd, Daguerre Denied Access

The Military Tribunal trying Muslim Brotherhood top leaders adjourned its session till next Wednesday. Oct, 3rd, 2007.

The defense lawyers of the military tribunal, the seventh in MB history, proved today that the final report of the illicit gain committee is invalid, while the witness- the committee chief- was confused in his testimony.

The witness denied that there is any relation between the companies of those referred to the military tribunal with funding the Muslim Brotherhood group or activities of Egyptian universities, and he said in his testimony that he did not find any document or paper to prove this.

The final report of the illicit gain committee is invalid due to the fact that the committee that issued it is invalid. This is because moneys cases require a committee to be formed from the money laundry unit at the central bank.

It is worth mentioning that the main witness in the session said that he formed a technical committee to assess the companies of the MB leaders, but its recommendations were ignored in the final report issued by the illicit gain committee. The witness- the chairman of the illicit gain committee- depended mainly on documents and reports of the prosecution.

Security services prevented Violette Daguerre from attending and monitoring the seventeenth session of the military trial against the MB leaders.

Daguerre is the president of Arab Committee for Human Rights and is the delegate of the UN commission for human rights to monitor this tribunal.
