90 Cairo University Students to Disciplinary Board
The total number makes Cairo University- so far- leading all Egyptian universities, presaging a possibly volatile semester as reports emerged about the new student regulation

The number of students referred to disciplinary boards at Cairo University rose 90 students only one week after classes started. 26 students were referred to a disciplinary board in the first week. The total number makes Cairo University- so far- leading all Egyptian universities, presaging a possibly volatile semester as reports emerged about the new student regulation
 
In the Faculty of Law, 20  students were referred to a disciplinary board on charges of hanging signs having instructions for fresh students and distributing classes schedules, and establishing a headquarters for Salah Ad-Din student group in the front of the faculty. The government-vetted student union students occupied, at the beginning of classes, the headquarters of Salah Ad-Din student group which is affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) students. This made the MB students search for an alternative place .
 
At the Faculty of Dar Al-Ulum, doctor Mohamed Abdul Magid Al Tawil  the faculty dean- along with the faculty workers and security destroyed the 3 years old headquarters of the Muslim Brotherhood students and referred 15 students to a disciplinary board, on charges of hanging signs having the name of the Muslim Brotherhood and distributing classes schedules. The number of those referred is expected to rise.
 
At the Faculty of Medicine, 11 students, including two female students, were referred to a disciplinary board on charges of welcoming students and hanging signs. The chairwoman of the youth administration in the faculty has torn signs hanged by MB students welcoming fresh students. She even submitted a complaint against two female students accusing them of insulting and offending her, although one of the two female students was absent on that day.
 
The students referred to investigation are:
Ayman Mohamed, sixth year
Mahmoud Al Maadawi, fifth year
Hussein Al Demeiri, fifth year
Ahmed Mostafa, fifth year
Mohamed Saad, fifth year
Muhab Mohamed, fourth year
Mostafa Abdul Sattar, fourth year
Mahmoud Atef, third year
Moaaz Mohamed, second year
in addition to two other female students.
 
At the veterinary medicine faculty, 9 students have been referred to a disciplinary board on charges of participating in welcoming new students and hanging signs about Ramadan. The students referred to investigation are:
Ahmed Al Sayed, fifth year
Ahmed Rashad Abdul Samie, fifth year
Osama Said, fifth year
Mahmoud Al Mahdi, fifth year
Ahmed Gharib, fourth year
Gamal Mostafa, fourth year
Ahmed Said, fourth year
Ali Magdi, second year
Mohamed Fawzi, second year.
 
In the Faculty of Pharmacy, the faculty guard chief prevented students of Al-Nour (Light) student group affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood from taking classes schedules into the faculty to distribute them among students, and he seized all schedules in his office and he rejected the students" demand to give them back. He even submitted a complaint accusing them of storming into his office, something the six students denied but they were referred to investigation. The 6 students are:
Haitham Salah, fifth year
Hossam Sabri, fourth year
Ahmed Al-Sayyed Ibrahim, fourth year
Ahmed Mohamed Hafez, fourth year
Mohamed Rabie, third year
Mahmoud Ibrahim, second year.
 
At the dentistry faculty, 3 female students were referred to a disciplinary board on charges of distributing roses to welcome fresh female students of the Faculty of Science. The female students are:
Iman Abd Al-Shafi, fourth year
Rehab Said, fourth year
Heba Mokhtar, second year.
