Dr. Ammar Qurabi is expected to attend on Tuesday, Sep, 4th, 2007, as an observer the tenth session of the Military Tribunal trying 40 Muslim Brotherhood (MB) leader topped by the MB second deputy chairman, Eng. Khairat Al Shater .
Dr. Ammar Qurabi is the envoy of The United Nations Commission on Human Rights and a member of the Paris-based Arab Organization for Human Rights.
It is worth mentioning that this is the fourth time in which Ammar Qurabi takes part, as an observer, in the military court against the MB leaders. Has arrived in Egypt to attend as an observer the fifth, sixth and ninth sessions. However, the security services denied him access to the court although he addressed all required conditions.
Tuesday"s session is held to continue interrogating the prosecution witnesses- state security officers- especially after the previous sessions revealed many mistakes and contradictions in the investigation report.
Hassan Zalat, one of the MB leaders referred to the military tribunal, won"t attend tomorrow"s session because he was sent on Sunday evening to the Intensive Care Unit due to the maltreatment that prompted a severe deterioration in his health. Also, engineer Khairat Al-Shater developed symptoms diabetic foot with continuously increasing tumors and inflammations due to the pollution and the lack of appropriate medical care .
