Jordan’s Islamists& Nationalists Garner Most Dental Syndicate Seats

The National Unity slate (alliance of Islamists, nationalists and independents ) in the dental syndicate garnered all ten seats of the syndicate board in elections held on Saturday at the professional syndicates complex. Wafi Al Rashdan, the slate’s candidate, was reelected for a second term.
 
According to results, the winning candidates in the board are:
 
Dr. Marawan Habashna, garnered 708 votes
Dr. Samir Al-Qudah, garnered 651 votes
Dr. Essam Zarini 644 votes
Dr. Zaid Baqain, 630 votes
Dr. Moaaz Shaqoura, garnered 624 votes,
Dr. Nidal Ta’ani, garnered 623 votes
Dr. Maan Rasheed, garnered 610 votes,
Dr. Ghazi Hagir, garnered 601 votes
Dr. Bassam Noubani, garnered 553 votes
Dr. Ishak Ga’ara, garnered 553 votes.
 
Candidates of the Professional Vocational Union along with independent candidates didn’t win any seat in the syndicate board, including:
 
Dr. Raed Alomari (independent ), garnered 344 votes
Dr. Wagid Al Hisa, garnered 247 votes
Dr. Maher Al Armouti, garnered 233 votes
Dr. Abdullah Al Titi, garnered 217 votes
Dr. Alaa Al Qawasmi, garnered 214 votes
Dr. Moin Haddad, garnered 202 votes
Dr. Emad Meqdad, garnered 173 votes
Dr. Mohamed Al Shalout (independent ), garnered 88 votes .
 
 
Participation Not Competition
 
For his part, Zaki Bin Arshid, the secretary-general of the Islamic Action Front Party told Ikhwanweb that this win caps the Islamists’ continuous activities and services in these syndicates and other places in which Islamists give distinguished services and show good performance .
 
Asked about the alliance between the Islamists with the nationalists in these elections, Bin Arshid said:” We always extend our hands to every one to serve fellow Jordanian citizens. Our permanent slogan in the elections is “participation not competition”.
 
“We always seek a strong national alliance that includes every one seeking to serve this beloved homeland, he added.
