Dakahlia public prosecution ordered 14 Muslim Brotherhood members from Mit Ghamr released on Wednesday. They were arrested during an election rally for Dr. Khaled Al Dib, the MB candidate for Mit Ghamr constituency in the Shura Council elections, on charges of assaulting policemen.

A number of Mit Ghamr policemen, supported by bullies, stormed into the election rally of Dr. Khaled Al Dib, and they assaulted every one they managed to reach, injuring dozens of MB supporters and arresting more than 10 individuals. They raised their eyebrows when the police claimed that they (the detainees) are the attackers.

The detainees who have been released:

Atiya Saleh Atiya - an employee at the Education Department
Sheikh Mohamed Rizk Mohamed - an imam and preacher
