Dr. Muwaiya Hasanein, the director of ambulance and emergency in the health ministry, told the PIC that the injuries were light to moderate.
Local sources said that an Israeli F-16 shelled the house, noting that material damage was inflicted on nearby homes.
A spokesman for the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) claimed that the shelling targeted an arms cache for Hamas, adding that the raid was in response to the firing of a locally made rocket at the western Negev.
Meanwhile, IOF shelling east of Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza Strip last night injured a 34-year-old Palestinian man.
The IOF also announced that one of its soldiers was killed by "friendly fire" when IOF troops were chasing three Palestinians after claiming they entered 1948 occupied lands.
The Hebrew radio said that the three citizens were detained in central Gaza.
