Muslim Brotherhood Rejects Al Zawahri Statements and Stresses on Peaceful Reform

The Deputy Chief of Muslim Brotherhood, Dr. M. Habib refused earlier statements made by Mr. Ayman Al Zwahri, Al Qaeda No2 man, in which he  criticized the Muslim Brotherhood for participating in the political  process through recent parliamentary elections stressing that the MB denounce  the  use of violence or bearing arms as a mean of change and political reform.

In his remarks to the “Ikhwanonline” website, the official Brotherhood  site, Dr. Habib described Al zawhri statements as “utterly unrealistic”,  adding;  the Muslim Brotherhood has its own agenda for change and reform, which  they  believe, can only happen by peaceful means and through different legal and constitutional channels. Resorting to force will open the doors wide for evil and create a total chaos in which those who think they are more  powerful can overthrow governments regardless of its legitimacy, Habib added.

He reiterated, the Muslim Brotherhood has long stated its acceptance of  democracy and political pluralism as well as peaceful transfer of power through ballot boxes. Brotherhood believes in empowering the people to choose their own leaders and  govern themselves within the boundaries of Islamic law.
The Muslim Brotherhood is working to create a public pressure through lawful  and constitutional channels and in a civilized and peaceful manner, and that could eventually force the regime to open up for reform and change, he illustrated
