Khaddam meets Syrian Brotherhood leader in Brussels

The former Syrian vice president Abdul Halim Khaddam met Ali Sadruddin al-Bayanoni, the exiled leader of the Ikhwan al-Muslimoun (Muslim Brotherhood) in Syria, in Brussels this week, informed sources told IRNA Thursday.

Al-Bayanoni lives in exile in Germany while Khaddam lives in exile in France.

The news of the Brussels meeting has been confirmed by the Ikhwan’s official website in Arabic.

The website said the meeting was held in Brussels on Tuesday and Wednesday and it included a preparatory meeting and a working session in which they exchanged views.

The two men agreed on the necessity to work with all the national forces and to meet with them for a joint action, said the website.

It did not say why Brussels was chosen for the secret meeting.
