Cairo University Expels 6 Professors, Including Amr Hamzawi, on Political Grounds

Cairo University has decided to terminate the tenure of five faculty members for allegedly affiliating with the Muslim Brotherhood, claiming that its move is based on a  decision that designate them in the terror lists, according to a statement by the University. 


The expelled professors include:


1- Rashad Mohammed Ali Al-Bayoumi, Faculty of Science


2- Bakinam Rashad Hassan Al-Sharqawi, Faculty of Economics and Political Science


3- Essam Al-Din Abd Al Halim Hashish, Faculty of Engineering


4- Ahmed Mohammed Al Zuhairi, Faculty of Agriculture


5- Abd Al Rahman Omar Al Shabrawi, Faculty of Pharmacy


Meanwhile, Cairo University has also terminated the tenure of Dr. Amr Hamzawy, professor of political science at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, claiming that he has been absent from work without permission.
