Anti-Coup Alliance: Sisi Gang Disgraces October War Victory

Anti-Coup Alliance: Sisi Gang Disgraces October War Victory

On this day, the sixth of October, in 1973, the Egyptian military recovered its professional honor and washed the shame of defeat off its face as it achieved victory against the Zionist army in the October War. This victory will remain a crown on Egypt’s head forever.

Forty-two years after the October War victory, what happened to our once great military which broke the myth of the invincible Zionist army? What changed and how?

Egypt is going through a pitch-black phase, a grinding crisis, after the military coup crushed the January 25 (2011) Revolution and the democratic experience along with it, and threw the first democratically elected president in junta jails.

What changed, to force the Sinai to drink up the blood of its own people, the sons of Egypt, in a real tragic case of genocide? The putschists strive to displace the Sinai people and to destroy and demolish their homes, and they flood the border with Gaza with seawater.

Is it all in order to safeguard the safety of the Zionist enemy we defeated in the October War?

The answer is yes. What is happening in Sinai represents a coup against the homeland’s established constants. This is why we call honorable patriotic men of our armed forces to correct the path of the brave army, side with the January 25 Revolution, and withdraw from the arena of political conflict, to dedicate themselves to protect the country’s borders and to face up to the enemy.

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance congratulates the Egyptian people, on the anniversary of the victory of October 6, 1973. We call on our patriotic people – young and old, soldiers and officers – to rejuvenate the spirit of victory and to join the Revolution and its youths, who are chanting for freedom, rejecting the Sisi gang’s repression, injustice and despotism, which destroyed the country and suppressed the people and betrayed the October War victory.

Yes we call on all free, honorable and patriotic men and women, especially since the Arab World today is facing great dangers and threats from its enemies. This makes it imperative for all to step up the pace for the liberation of Egypt from this criminal gang that brought shame to our homeland and its people and has become a puppet in the hands of the Zionists.

We stress that liberating our will and reclaiming our Revolution is the way to victory over the nation’s enemies. The October 6 victory will continue to make all Egyptians proud. Camp David will continue to stand for shame and betrayal.

We are confident of victory.
