Egypt Opposition Leaders Mourn Violence Victim

Egypt Opposition Leaders Mourn Violence Victim

Statement to the Egyptian People

"To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return" (Quran, 2:156)

Together, we mourn the loss of patriotic sons and daughters – soldiers, civilians, women and children, who are killed every day.

We condemn all acts of terrorism whoever the perpetrator.

We affirm that the removal and trying of Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi for the crimes he committed is no longer a demand of coup opponents alone. It has now become a roaring popular demand after he pushed the country to the edge of the abyss and subjected its people and army to humiliation, and put its national security in great danger, all because of the coup commander’s arrogance, mismanagement of country’s affairs, oppression, terrorizing the people of Egypt, slamming shut all doors to dialogue and reconciliation, and gambling with the future of Egypt and Egyptians.

We call upon the Egyptian people, all parties, civil society organizations, and institutions to join hands in the face of this mindless military-controlled regime and the junta’s conspicuous madness, to save Egypt and achieve its people’s legitimate demands for freedom, decent living and social justice.

God save Egypt and its people from all evil and all the injustice
