President Morsi Urges Egyptians to Stand Steadfast

During a session of his fabricated trial on Saturday, Egypt’s elected President Mohamed Morsi told the Egyptian people: "The coup will be defeated".

Dr Morsi added that, as President of the Republic, he does not recognize trial before this court.

"I ask every citizen, all the Egyptian people, to stand steadfast. The coup and its followers will be defeated."

President Morsi’s words received applause from Muslim Brotherhood leaders held inside a glass cage. The presiding judge then switched off the sound, so they could not be heard.

That court was considering the fabricated case against the legitimate President Mohamed Morsi regarding the storming of prisons in the January 2011 Revolution.
