FJP’s Ayman Abdel-Ghani Slams Military Coup Media Machine for Corrupting Egyptian Conscience
In a post on his Facebook page, Ayman Abdel-Ghani, leading member of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), said: "The military-coup-controlled media, which is inciting the bombing of our people in Gaza by Zionist war-planes under the pretext that it is a hotbed of terrorism, is the same military-tool media that incited the bombing of Egypt’s own Sinai, under the same pretext of terrorism – and to create a buffer zone to protect the borders of their Zionist allies. This is the same military-controlled media that instigated the genocide massacres of the peaceful protesters in Rabaa, Nahda and other squares.
"The coup-controlled media has long since mastered the fine art of making up myths and utter lies. It functions simply as an arm of the coup and its Zionist allies… It does not only manufacture misrepresentations and untruths to corrupt Egyptians’ awareness, but wants to kill humanity in the hearts of the people and crush their conscience so coup crimes do not only pass amid resounding silence, but with the blessing and support of misguided people. This is a battle for the awareness and true conscience of the Egyptian people."
On the future of anti-coup media, Abdel-Ghani said: "We have a date with popular media, the Revolution media, to announce the failure of the military coup propaganda machine in eliminating Egyptian conscience and justifying and promoting the Zionists’ logic. Our date is with patriotic people chanting from the heart in streets and liberty squares across the nation, with all awareness, with all certainty… chanting for freedom, for Jerusalem and Palestine… No more normalization".
