National Alliance: Raising Energy Prices Collective Punishment for Egypt Poor

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance issued the following statement Saturday regarding the mad military coup crime of raising energy and food prices by way of a collective punishment of the people:

In a new heinous crime, the illegitimate coup regime raised the prices of fuel, electricity and food in a move regarded as deliberate collective punishment of the people, especially the poor and low-income families, while every day sizeable bonuses and increases are dealt out to army and police forces and to pro-military judiciary. This is clear confirmation that Al-Sisi and his coup collaborators are determined to increase the people’s pain and suffering and to deprive them of even the most essential food, while fighting them with all their murderous military might.

The National Alliance stands firm with all the people in their revolutionary action, participates in every activity, and strongly supports the outraged masses affected by all the mad military decrees. The Alliance stands fully and strongly with the people in their continuous quest to reclaim the January 25, 2011 Revolution and to achieve its goals of freedom, social justice and human dignity and to restore its constitutional gains.

The Alliance will not rest or retreat until those foolish decisions are cancelled and the failed fascist military rule is ended, for the vindictive generals are only endeavoring to serve the interests of the lords of corruption and fiefdoms at home and abroad. Let us all close ranks, unite and act as one against the aggression of the enemies of the people.
