National Alliance Hails Escalating Anti-Coup Peaceful Resistance

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance issued the following statement:

Another day of the Revolution witnesses a popular uprising in all liberty squares and the putschists’ jails, completing the march of democratic transformation in spite of unrelenting coup terror and the spilling of more innocent blood by coup security forces. The Revolution is advancing towards complete victory bolstered by overwhelming public triumph in the empty ballot-box battle. Another nail has been hammered in the coffin of the illegitimate coup, to accelerate its overthrow, to pave the way for a bright future for this homeland, whose poor are groaning from hunger while its thieves and corrupt officials sing and dance to a foreign tune.

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance solemnly appreciates the participation of millions in the rejection of all illegitimate process or action by the second Mubarak regime, after the sweeping boycott of the blood ballot and the resounding fall of the coup roadmap. The Alliance calls on all the free and honorable to hear the people’s voice rumbling in the streets, squares and prison cells, and to respect the will of the people demanding democratic legitimacy, freedom, a decent life, true Egyptian identity, civil rule and fair retribution, while rejecting falsehood, oppression, hunger, betrayal and the militarization of the state.

To all the people committed to the principles of the Revolution…

We are ready, with you, for the future, to fulfill the dream of the Revolution together. Revolutionary action continues from strength to strength in the "Push forward; we will triumph" week of non-violent revolt. The people’s support for the prisons’ second uprising continues, too, in the ’empty stomachs’ battle. Jailers should realize that any oppressive practices against the honest citizens of this homeland makes them a party to the crime.

The boycott of pro-coup companies and establishments should include coup supporters’ companies and products at home and abroad, in anticipation of mass civil disobedience. Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi, along with his fellow traitors, should realize that the Revolution is moving forth like a massive snow ball. Soon, the day will come when it topples all of them, all those who conspired against the Revolution. Then, the haters and the undecided will regret their doubts and hesitation.

No-one will listen to them then. The Revolution will eradicate corruption, oppression and injustice. That time is certainly not too far now.
