Anti-Coup National Alliance Calls ‘People Complete Their Revolution’ Week of Peaceful Protest

To all loyal revolutionary men and women of Egypt…

Although some faces have changed, and so have the methods of deception, Al-Sisi and Mubarak are two sides of the same coin, enemies of the January 25 Revolution, partners in treachery and the slaughter. Nevertheless, your faith in God, your resolve and peaceful escalation will topple the mass-murderer and all the heinous forces of the coup.

The people have spoken, made their decision and steeled their resolve. Those who violated the people’s rights and freedoms and hijacked their Revolution have to leave or be toppled. So, go forth with your Revolution, from strength to strength, with peacefulness, ingenuity and devotion. Win the hearts, and gain ground.

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance has noted ​​a serious threat to the state, with the insistence of coup commanders and collaborators on burning the homeland and wreaking havoc across the nation, with violations by the military junta’s judges against the legitimate elected President Mohamed Morsi, his fellow revolutionaries, the student movement, and the proud free men and women of Egypt (especially those of Al-Azhar University).

Ben Ali (Tunisia’s former president) did not comprehend the situation; so he eventually had to make his escape. Mubarak was obstinate; so he was ultimately toppled. The leaders of the military junta are on the same path. With their blind insight, they are marching forward to a deep dark abyss.

The putschists and their ousted leader will pay the price of the blood, the pain and suffering with which their commander threatened Egyptians. Then, no foreign power or mercenaries will help them.

To all loyal revolutionary men and women of Egypt…

Let us revitalize daily revolutionary action, with full commitment to creative peaceful resistance. Let us show solidarity and join the noble detainees’ hunger strike by fasting on Thursday, increasing actions that draw us closer to God. Let us gather on Friday in a solemn million-man march all over the country at the beginning of a huge revolutionary week under the banner "People Complete Their Revolution" in preparation for a nationwide revolt to mark the day ousted Mubarak finally fell. Let us get ready for what is sure to come soon.
