Gov’t Bans Prominent MB Economist From Travelling Again

Egyptian security authorities banned senior MB leader and prominent economist, Dr. Abdul Hamid el Ghazali, from traveling to Beirut to attend the Fifth Arab General Conference scheduled to be held on Monday under the slogan “Support for Lebanese Resistance and its Glorious Victory”.

This is the second time in which Dr. Ghazali was banned from traveling; the first time was last month when he was banned from traveling to Saudi Arabia to perform umra” minor pilgrimage”. Commenting on the incident, Dr. Ghazali said in an exclusive statement to Ikhwanweb that it is unwise of the authorities to deny a citizen his right to travel, especially that this conference will discuss issues and concerns of the Arab and Muslim nation. T

He added also that the conference, will also address a number of heated issues, including mechanisms to bring nations together to stand up against the New Middle East scheme, as well as the repercussions of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon.

The  Egyptian security authorities have decided to silence moderate Islamist voices in such important conferences by banning him from traveling, according to Dr. Ghazali.

He lamented that the Egyptian regime only claims that it observes democracy and freedom while it is in fact the most dictatorial, despotic and corruptive regime.
