Murad Ali: Morsi Decrees Truly Patriotic, Serve Egypt Interests

Murad Ali, media adviser to the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), affirmed that real patriotic groups and movements concerned for the interests of the country must be pleased with the President’s new Constitutional Declaration and decrees issued Thursday.

Ali further said that the new constitutional declaration aimed to achieve stability and security, and to help the January 25 revolution complete its course. He criticized political conflicts and conspiracies among certain parties and the Public Prosecutor who failed to honor the martyrs’ and citizens’ rights.

"The Public Prosecutor played a key role supporting remnants of the Mubarak regime. The President’s revolutionary decrees are meant to rid the country of all corrupt officials. As Mohamed Mahmoud Street clashes show, Public Prosecutor corruption and failure to honor revolution martyrs’ rights can lead to tragic consequences.

"The ordinary citizen needs stability and security in order to contribute to the advance of production, the economy, development and construction, away from chaos and conflicts. The FJP calls on all national forces for dialogue on Egypt’s new constitution."
