Dr. Ghozlan: Brotherhood to Join April 20 Protect the Revolution Million-Man March

Dr. Mahmoud Ghozlan, official spokesman of the Muslim Brotherhood and member of the group’s Guidance Bureau, said that there are attempts to hijack or abort the revolution, and that there is an imminent and substantial threat to the gains of the revolution, a heinous attempt to reproduce the corrupt former regime with the same faces.

In an exclusive statement, Dr. Ghozlan announced that the Brotherhood will take part in Tahrir Square events this Friday to protest the nomination of remnants of the old guard. He asserted that the Egyptian people will not abandon the revolution and will not be silent about attempts to undermine it, calling on all to unite.

Dr. Ghozlan called on Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) – the de facto ruler of Egypt since Mubarak’s overthrow – to ratify the political isolation law (Disenfranchisement Law) issued by the parliament which was only recently elected to represent the will of 85 million Egyptians, and to publish official ratification of that law in the official newspaper on Monday.
