No National or International Isolation Anticipated With Brotherhood Presidency Decision

Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, Secretary General of the Muslim Brotherhood, asserted that the group does not expect any national or international isolation with regard to the decision by both the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) and the Brotherhood to nominate the renowned engineer and businessman Khairat Al-Shater as their candidate for Egypt’s presidency.

In response to a question by ikhwanweb, in an international press conference, at the Brotherhood’s Headquarters in Cairo, Dr. Hussein said: "The whole world knows who the Muslim Brotherhood is, and knows the views and stances of the Muslim Brotherhood and the FJP, through many direct meetings watched closely by the media and the press.

"When the Egyptian people have made their choice for president, I believe no one should stand in their way. For this is the will of the people, the choice of democracy", the Brotherhood’s Secretary General added.
