International Islamic Condemnation of Bashar Massacres, Support for Syrian Popular Uprising

International Islamic Condemnation of Bashar Massacres, Support for Syrian Popular Uprising

The undersigned Muslim movements, groups and organizations are shocked, saddened and dismayed at the gross injustice suffered by the noble and proud Syrian people in its just uprising to restore its right to freedom and to choose the regime that governs it, as the current repressive regime ignores these demands and has responded to this peaceful popular uprising with a security crackdown and violent bloody actions that led to the shedding of the blood of thousands of innocent people – men, women and children. They confirm the following:

1. The undersigned Muslim movements, groups and organizations declare their support for the people’s uprising in Syria to regain their right to choose its ruling regime and restore their freedom. They also declare their condemnation of all forms of repression and terror practiced there and the use any kind of violence in dealing with the people’s peaceful uprising, in an attempt to discourage them from demanding their rights and freedoms. The undersigned appeal to all groups, parties and peoples of the Muslim World to support the people’s revolution in Syria, with political, media and relief efforts and actions.

2. They call upon the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Conference to assume their responsibility and play their part in the protection of the Syrian people.

3. They completely reject all forms of foreign intervention in Syria.

4. They call on all parties and forces to continue the peaceful popular movement in Syria and keep it away from violence or use of force, not to support any effort that seeks to use force, and to maintain its all-inclusive national character, far from sectarian tendencies – racial or religious.

God save Syria and its people from all evil
