Dr. Kamal Ganzouri, the Prime Minister, met with Dr. Mohamed Morsi, Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), Dr. Saad Katatni, Secretary General of the Party, today (Saturday).

Dr. Saad Katatni said that the meeting explored the prime minister’s views on the legislation that the Government will present to the People’s Assembly, adding that the party has a legislative agenda focusing on the interests of the poor.

He said that the discussion did not address the details of this legislative agenda; but there was general agreement on the principle of the legislative agenda. The meeting with the Prime Minister is a preliminary get-together that will be followed by other meetings and visits.

Dr. Mohamed Morsi, FJP Chairman, said: "We are determined to achieve stability and harmony, for the sake of Egypt and its vital interests, above all else," stressing the importance of cooperation among all segments of society, especially as the post-revolution parliament is about to be formed; and that – for the first time in decades – it does represent the will of the Egyptian people.

Dr. Morsi expressed the party's resolve for cooperation between the upcoming parliament and the current government for the best interest of the homeland and to achieve the required stability.
