Dr. Rafiq Habib, Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Vice President, stated that the formation of the Egyptian government is the direct responsibility of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF), who runs the affairs of the country.

In an exclusive statement to Ikhwanweb, Dr. Habib said: "After the new constitution is drawn up, based on the presidential/parliamentary system model, it is more likely that the responsibility for the formation of the government will be vested in the parliament, after a referendum on the constitution and the election of the President.

With regard to Dr. Kamal Ganzouri’s government, and whether it would be dissolved, after the formation of the upcoming parliament, Dr. Rafiq Habib said: "Fate of Ganzouri Government is in the hands of SCAF."

The FJP Vice President stated that he expects there is bound to be a level of understanding with Parliament, “so, if there is need to change some ministers, the matter can be discussed and debated.”

He also expects that changes in Ganzouri Government will take place in the light of understanding and consultation between SCAF and the parliament.
