Mainstream MB’s Insist on Moderation

In collaboration between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Ministry of Endowment efforts are currently under way to form a committee to visit mosques and speak to the people in Egypt and to clarify the meaning of Islam and its moderation tolerance and peace.

The mainstream group of MB members chosen will address the people in an effort to spread the correct understanding of Islam and to re-instill the values ??of justice, equality, freedom and cooperation.

Following numerous incidents and attacks in the country the latest in Imbaba by what have been described as the former regimes remnants to spread sectarian strife the MB and Ministry hope to restore the spirit of unity between the Muslims and Copts.

The agreement comes after two weeks of unprecedented meetings between the group’s chairman Dr. Mohamed Badie, Al-Azhar’s top cleric Dr. Ahmed el Tayeb and a delegation from the Ministry of Endowment.

Such meetings would never have taken place before the toppling of Mubarak’s regime which had continued unsuccessfully to stem any efforts by the group to participate or meet with officials.
