Day eleven of Egypt’s uprising has witnessed local and foreign journalists, NGO employees, protesters and social workers subjected to a crackdown by plainclothes and uniformed policemen, armed thugs, and pro-Mubarak supporters. 
 
Security forces broke into the headquarters of the Muslim Brotherhood's official news website and arrested 12 journalists inside.  Ahmed Subei, managing editor of the site, said security forces entered the bureau, seized equipment and documents and arrested journalists.
 
Numerous correspondents detained were from the New York Times, Washington Post and Al Jazeera. According to the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) in the past 24 hours alone 24 detentions of journalists were recorded.
 
According to the April 6 Youth Movement another six political activists were detained after meeting with former IAEA chief Dr.Mohamed ElBaradei. The activists were last seen soon after they met with ElBaradei to discuss the current Egyptian situation.
 
Furthermore the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information reported that two human rights organizations were raided and their staff arrested.
