MB calls on Arab nations to support Tunisians

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt has called on all Arab and Islamic factions to stand by the Tunisians. It commended the people’s uprising and its fight for its fight for freedom and dignity congratulating the Tunisian on its well earned victory.
 
In its statement the MB stressed that the Tunisian’s have made history, with its steadfast and adamant stance demanding the withdrawal of the tyrant Dictator Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, who fled the country, disregarding his aides his friends and his family in the unprecedented humiliation of an Arab leader.
 
The MB urged the Arab regimes and the World to heed the voice of the people who called for public freedoms and democracy. It stressed that this would ensure stability, development and justice for all. It asserted however that it was imperative that the approach be an Islamic moderate one.
 
The group called on the Arab and Muslim rulers to engage with their people in civilised dialogue and not to employ violence while dealing with the people and to draw the conclusions from the Tunisian dictator’s experience.
 
The MB urged the world’s powers to stop intervening in the Arab world affairs and to note that the oppressed Arabs are able to take matters into their own hands if pushed so far. It called on the West not to support dictators and authoritarian rulers.
 
The group called on the Tunisian people to remain steadfast and called on the new leader to assume full responsibility, and maintain the country’s security and interests of people.

The MB urged Tunisia’s temporary leader to allow the peaceful transition of power stipulated in the constitution. It encouraged the new leader to rectify the tyranny and corruption left by Ben Ali and to allow the people to enjoy freedom, democracy, and social justice. It called on them to form a free parliament and choose the head of state in accordance to the will of the people.
